The House
She is named after the bay's wooden boats and takes after them: painted timber, simple lines, nothing useless on board. The restoration kept the cladding, the shutters and the spirit; it added fibre wifi, a heated pool and bedding you will remember.
The living room
55 square metres opening on both sides, linen, navy stripes and a wood stove for the late season. The big table faces the pines.
The kitchen
Farmhouse sink, oak worktops, a five-burner range and a wine fridge. The Cap Ferret market is ten minutes away by bike, every morning in summer.
The deck
80 square metres of pine boards: low lounge, summer table for ten, plancha and lanterns. This is where everything happens, from morning coffee to the evening card games.
Ten metres of heated water, April to October, wooden decking all around.
Four bedrooms, eight guests
Ceiling fans, mosquito screens, washed linen and striped cotton. In the cabin, the bunk by the porthole gets claimed first.
The Lighthouse Room
King bed, en-suite bathroom, pines at the window. The striped throw earns its keep from September.
The Conche Room
Queen bed, rattan headboard, a small old desk and an en-suite shower room.
The Children's Cabin
Two bunk beds, a porthole, a rope ladder and baskets for treasures. Boat spirit guaranteed; lights-out not guaranteed.
The baths
Three bath and shower rooms: white tiles, a navy liner, aged brass. The Pignes room, queen bed on the garden side, completes the floor.
The pine garden
2,000 square metres of sand and pine needles, fully enclosed, with the bike and board shed. The cladding gets repainted each spring, like the hulls in the harbour.
